The first hour of today’s drive was very different. La Cavalerie sits on a plateau at around 800 to 900 meters and Limoux on the plains at 200 meters. The cloud layer was between 500 and 600 meters so it meant driving in and out of the clouds for quite a while(something we just don’t see at home).
One of our stops was the town of Albi which is on the Tarn River. The Cathedral here was quite splendid with amazing carvings and frescoes adorning its interior.
