Barcelona 10th August

We know are travels are coming to a conclusion when today we had to return are car to Peugeot. Part of the lease deal was to return the car as clean as we received it so most of the morning was spent vacuuming and washing it. I checked the odometer and found we have traveled 14,123 kilometers which when we planned the trip I guessed we would do 8-10,000 kms so apparently the winding mountain roads made up for the rest.

This afternoon was spent replacing some of the stolen images from our first stay here although it was difficult as it was just not quite the same as the summer is now at it’s height and a lot of the lush greenery has faded.

La Rambla is so much busier now with all the summer tourists cramming in one relatively small road as were the markets and marina with all the ferries going to and fro from Teneriffe and Majorca.

La Rambla jam packed with tourists(some would say terrorists) at 8.30 in the evening.
